I’m so excited about this for many reasons. My short story, Soul Purpose, is incredibly close to my heart. I’ve carried it with me for several years, now – holding onto it, searching for its perfect home. Although this story is probably the most fantasy thing I’ve ever written, it’s also one of the most personal things I’ve put out there. It’s not an autobiography or a memoir – but a not-insignificant piece of my soul lives in that story.
With Soul Purpose, I address issues that are close to my heart: about the place of a woman in the world; about self-actualisation; about love and marriage and spirituality. I’m so, so honoured that Josie and Adie and Indie Bites loved the story as much as I do – and I couldn’t be happier that Soul Purpose finally has its perfect home.
